    Int: Diy6 Speakers

hey i've been waiting a lot to post this and tahnks to abdielitopr i got encouraged to do it, the diy is for cb7 that have the center passenger arm rest, if im not mistaken u cant do it in the bb4, but if ur car's got it i think u can find a way

    tools needed:
    philips screwdriver
    a knife (sharp one)
    LEATHERMAN (better have one)
vicegrip (i did this without the use of power tools, if u have a dremmel it will be very easy 4 u)
    band aids
    2 6/12 speakers

    step 1: remove back seat

step2: remove the plastic that is when u put down the arm rest, and cut it with the circles that come with the speakers

attention u'll cut ur self if ur not careful

step 3: use a dremmel or the vicegrip like i did a tear a rectangle hole in the back seat (since its aluminum is like hot knife truh butta)

step 4: screw the speakers in and make every thing fit

step 5: put the speakers in put the back cover 2 gether run long cables out the seat

put the seat back on a wire the speaker however u want, anddddddddd
ta tan u have now 6 speaker that look from facktory with out spending

    more than 50$

enjoy, any questions u know wat 2 do

    more diy's coming soon

Cool DIY. You actually beat me to it. Mine is to include an enclose due to having a sub in the rear. I will post pics when complete.

cool. but i've got a question.

if we arent' using an amp, how would we go about wiring them up?

Just the same way as you would your rear speakers. If you have no amp, then you will have to either switch with the fronts wiring or the rears.

for wiring if u don't have an amp u can wire them 2 the rear speaker

or 2 the front to have more voice,

hey falder ur BLUE TAPE CB7 right?

If you wire them to the rear speakers the impedance will not be the right match for your head unit and can cause damage.

6 by 9 would'nt look that bAD. but i did the 2 6 1/2 2 fill all the space, a 6x9 would look rather small but i dont know, go ahead if u like

if you hook those up to your factory deck and hooking it up with your other speakers in the back your pushing your deck a bit further than you should. later it may damage the deck cause your running it at 2 ohms. if you series them to run at 8 ohms you should be good

id rather only do this mod with a 4 channel amp running the 4 speakers in the car and the extra lines from the deck to those 2 rear speakers.

i did that a while back, but i just put 2 tweeters in there and called it a day hehe.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Got me thinking the same thing.

I was thinking, get a pair of these:
                            http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=295-308

Build an enclosure for the whole thing, add a small 2 channel amp, high pass filters and call it a day. I think it would pretty damn good for anybody wanting more bass, but not overwhelming bass. Also someone not wanting stuff to take up serious space and weight.

Someone with more car audio knowledge chime in.
