So those of you curious or dunno how to do this I am just gonna say its easy as hell lol. I have a DC2 boot coming in sometime this week so I thought I would get the part ready. I got bored so I thought this might benefit for the less technical people. 1st of all I am using a prelude center console which should be similar to the accord. Anyway here it goes.
Tools:
Mini screwdriver (flathead)
Phillips Screwdriver
Needle Nose pliers
1. Remove the shift knob (if you cannot do this just stop)
2. Take out the center console
3. Flip it upside down so you see the underside
4. There should be a bracket with 4 phillips screws holding it down or something similar. Looks something like this (taken out already) (4 holes on the corners)
5. After you take it out you should just have a piece like this:
6. You next obstacle is to take out the staples that hold the boot in its place. I recommend using a mini screwdrivers and pliers. There might be some glue holding it down but should be no bigge. BE CAREFUL IT IS PLASTIC and not really strong at that.
7. The way I tool them out I used the mini screwdriver, popped the prongs out a bit and used the needle nose to straighten and wedged it out with the small screwdriver works wonders.
8. After that you should be able to take the boot off!!!
9. Reinstall is the opposite way. You might need to restaple or find something to hold in the boot again.
10. Told you it was easy.
