"not trying to be an ass or anything, just wondering why so many people have those big tach's in their cars when there's already a tach in the cluster, i just don't get the point of it other than maybe the shift light but you can buy those alone...i can understand if the car doesn't come with a tach but why have two? just curious."
A few posts ago, anyways the point of the tach is that it will be more accurate than even a honda tach (which is decent) and also it will read to a higher rev limit so if you do a motor swap with computer and turbo it it makea a ton of sense. If you are dsriving a metro on the other hand.....
No longer working on the cb. To much time and money has been put into it. Check my for sale thread where the whole car will be parted out.
Big ass tachs are worthless IMO.....My stock tach works just fine, even with my motor swap....The only reason a tach is worthy is if your car revs to extreme RPM's......shift lights are also handy, but you can get them seperate from the big tachs, so in reality, the only reason for a big tach is for high revving engines.....

stock tachs are fine if you have a rev limiter and your old tach is correct. In my accord me stock tach was off and the one in my prelude is broken so I have a mini big tach in the lude.
Oil leak? What oil leak? That's just sweat from all that horsepower!
