what happened to all the sludge? lol

      head all cleaned up
      8 new intake valve seal
      8 new exhaust valve seal
      2 new cam seal

valve adjustment will follow once head is back on block, just need to wait for some gaskets and finish cleaning and detailing small little parts and things...

about $800cdn and thats for a lot of shit, certain stuff isnt even in the pic i'll make a list of everything, but its not that bad considering she will be running good now some might tell me, "why didnt you just swap motor", cause if I did that I would just have another h22 with loss comperssion like most people who just buy jdm motors and swap them in yeah its nice they get them for cheap ect, but they are old motors with old seals and gaskets... the point of what Im doing is to restore power and have the motor last for years to come, she lasted so long already and ran good, with all the work now $800 isn't too bad considering she'll be around for another 10 years+ , and labour is free. diy.

shit 800 is not bad at all!!!

and like you said...why do a swap when you already have a swap lol now alls you need to do is make that swap %100 complete buy rebuilding it to make it run 100% NOW thats a true swap brother

like you said...$800 jdm motor swaps are great but whats the point when its already abused! and if your doing a swap and don't even bother to al least look at the insides to check the condition is completely stupid! might as well go to the junk yard and get a motor their with your luck.

luckily When I got mine everthing was almost perfect when I opened her up...but still replaced typicall parts.

I bet if you dyno'ed it before you took it apart and compared it to a dyno run after the rebuild you would be amazed...shoot you will be amazed even with out a piece of paper to prove you...alls you need to do is drive it! keep us posted

yeah i should have ran it on a dyno before so I can have some results to compare againts, but it ran ok before I started doing all this stuff, she pulled good only burned about 1L every 5k (cause i drove her hard) and she had a funny idle problem, I did find my iab`s broken as well and a few sensor`s fubared, but now everythings should be running right I found an fairly minty shift boot in the jy yesterday the chrome ring around isn`t peeling(yes!) haha

                  oil pan

damn oil pan gasket was original 17years old, sob was so hard to come out I must have spent about 30min to an hour just trying to remove the old gasket and clean up the pan.

Hey bud. Sick ride, I have a question about your retro though,
do you have any pictures of how you put the projectors in the headlights?
I have S2k Projectors with TSX-R lenses, and I have been trying to put them in some headlights. Any help you can provide would be great!

if your putting them in jdm onepieces headlights like me then you have to trim the s2k projectors lense holder and refelctor bowl down to fit inside the stock jdm headlights reflector which measures 3.5 inch in height and 7 width. you will have to cut the lense holder and relector bowls original mounting points, and make your own.

my pos civic been acting up (again) the last few days till I slapped it up a bit and put in some work and its all gravy now shes a champ.

the cb sleeps away while collecting dust, its getting really cold outside and its making work hard, I am worried about snapping shit since temps are getting low, I might end up putting a hold on this till spring comes back around and will finish everything then still awating valve cover to finish paint, i got all my gaskets and most are even installed already, picked up ac system from gba thanks for the hook up brah, summer should be nice and cool!

i also made an oil catch can using the diy off this site thank you cb7tuner!
