wow. installing this thing is like wrestling a dead gorilla into a barrel full of monkeys.

Your interior is so unassuming minus the gauges. How many heart attacks have you given out so far?

Zero. Turbo was only finished last summer so only my gf drove in this car last summer. This summer should be more fun

What makes the carpet difficult to install? Does it not want to hold it's shape?

It holds its shape too well. Much stiffer than the OEM rug. So you're fighting with it the whole time to get it in the car. It's more like a rubber mat (since i got the rubber backing material on it) than a rug. So getting it over the gear shifter and ebrake, but under the drivers side pedals and trying to move it around doesn't happen easily.

example: to push the carpet under the drivers side pedals and up would be easy if someone was on the passenger side doing that side too. Then the rug would move as a whole piece. But with just one person you are fighting it, punching it, wiggling it, and sweating bullets. Back and forth from one side of the car to the other. And obviously you cannot be on the rug while you try to move it into place.

Gotcha. That sounds like one of those jobs you go into happy because you think it'll be easy, then wind up wishing you had never started it without help. lol

I'm sure the new carpet will feel/look great once it's all settled, though.
