    osl : 1992 Accord LX

I guess it's time for me to post what I've acquired and done so far. I bought this thing back in June. The price was right but the body wasn't. Notice how I still can't fix the gap between the hood and headlights. I'm hoping a new hood will fix that. It went through a few surgeries before it ended up the way it sits today. The outside was in terrible shape but the car itself runs like a champ. Pulls hard and still somewhat smooth. There are other things I want to do to it and for those of you who want to know how to do it on a budget, I'll list prices for the parts next to them. Here we go...

    Car $200
    Title transfer $80
    Optima Redtop $50
    Front end work $70
    Front ceramic pads $25
    New master cylinder $30
    Royal Purple MTF $20
    Paint and body filler $80
    Legend lip $75
    Window deflectors $45
    Spark plugs $10
    P12 ecu $35
    Air filter $6
    Red and clear tails $90
    Headlight brackets from JY $25
Rims $6 for paint, otherwise I got them for free
    Thermostat and gasket $10
    New belts $10
    TOTAL SPENT SO FAR $867

My system is going to be extreme but you don't have to do it like I'm going to, and I don't factor the pricing of my system into my total because some of this stuff I already had laying around. Also when I decide not to keep this car anymore, I'm pulling it out.
    Panasonic cq9700u $120
Alpine TypeS mids and highs $30
    Polk 6x9's $20
    Orion XTR500.4 $50
    Orion XTR Pro2400 $300
    Atomic APSPL12's $250
    Wiring $50
    Big3
    Optima Yellowtop $50
    High amp alternator $125

    TOTAL SPENT SO FAR $995
What I still plan to do:
Generic header (because mine is leaking from the flex pipe area)
Generic cat-back system (possibly just for the 2.5" piping)
    H23 IM swap
    Delta 272 cam
    Adjustable cam gear
Some kind of drop, maybe Neuspeed Sportlines
Newer and bigger wheels in the spring
New hood (because mine is pushed in a bit, that is why I painted it a temporary flat black)

Crappy but this is how it was when I first got it. Been in a front end accident. and they tried to straighten it out but it wasn't done right.

Front end pulled, blacked-out headlights, DIY grill:

Body work filling in the dents and ghetto fixing the rust:

As for the rattle can paint job, I can wet-sand it and paint it again, then clear-coat but I just really wanted to get it done before the weather gets nasty up here. Maaco wanted $550 plus for a paint job, twice the cost of my car and it's supposed to be a budget build. It's getting cold pretty fast and I got lucky on the day of painting. It's been either cloudy or raining everyday since. Plus, driving with patches if body filler on your car looks ridiculous. Get her done!

Thank you for the kind words. The rims are temporary. If I keep the car long enough, I'm getting 17's and a drop. I just don't want to do it yet because winter is close and I might have to drive this thing through the snow. I hate MN.

                      My HU:

This is the thing I hate most about this car. You are limited to decks unless you don't care about not being able to see the display well or modify your dash mount. I had a hard time finding a deck with the tilt feature. This thing was heap enough because I didn't want to pay the asking price of Alpine 9835's or 9815's.
