1992 Honda Accord A/T EX - RIP (transmission shot: sold to junkyard)
looks good man! Also interested in what kinda filler your using? Most will crack if you scrape this thing at all!
8 Accords so far: '81 SE Sedan(1st Gen), '83 SE Sedan(2nd Gen), '89 SE Sedan(3rd Gen) '89 DX Sedan(3rd Gen), '92 LX Coupe(4th Gen), '92 EX Wagon(4th Gen) (3rd gen parts car) I'm currently Driving a '14 Accord Sport9th Gen
Digging the lip idea, what are you using to fill it, bondo, fiberglass? Did you damage your rim when you had the blow out?
Well... I'm trying two different methods to see what works best. On one side of the lip I used expanding foam to fill. Let it dry, the sanded it flush. That's what the pic above is. But now there's tiny holes from the foam that need to be fill.
The other sides gap was filled with plastic. I had some extra pieces laying around, so I had a friend plastic weld a small portion.
Plastic wellding it maybe the way to go on this, since it needs to flexible. Any feedback appreciated.
Yea seeing as its the front lip i'd plastic weld it for sure then use a strong epoxy on top of it before you use any kind of filler, and it will be flexing you dont want the fillers to crack and seperate
