let me know if this makes sence. im not sure because i havent got my HID kit to look at yet but im confused on why theres only one "input". i think its just because it only needs one to let the system know when to turn on both. is that right?
im thinking i can bolt the relays to this support
so i might lay it out like this
i just need to know where to tuck evrything when im done.
remember im keeping my high beam on with my low. but TRS gave me wrong stuff i think. i wanted 2 of the splitters 9006<9006 and 9005. i got one splitter and 2 9006 extensions and an extra pig tail with only wires on one side.
i think i need to either call them and have them send me one more splitter, or connect my high beam to my corner light, then i wont need either splitter. i think it should be fine because its an led 9005.
made my highs running lights to free up my 9005 harness for the bi-xenon
my 9005 LED bulbs have the polarity reversed so i already had to use wire to extend the pins. cut off the pins and soldered more wire to the end.
i had previously put high temp silicone in there to keep the pins in place
after soldering extra wire up i twisted them so - was on the negative side and + on the positive side. (doesnt really matter im just OCD like that.) electrical tape the individual wires then heat shrink over them.
then expandable sleeving for that pro look. (only about 6 inches)
positive wire through the corner light whole into the bumper to be soldered there (i already have the bumper light mod.)
ground on driver side
ground on passenger side
end result
and i now have my 9005 stock harness freed up for bi-xenon
also a kind of cheating way of a DRL with no module.
I forgot to put up this picture. The point for me doing this was to free up my 9005 harness so there it is high beam working as a running light. Now I got the 9005 harness ready for bi-xenon
Lol, I remember that thread we were posting on when JoshM was wondering about "illiest" and "healthiest" and somebody suggested make some stickers... And you actually went out and did the shit. Fucking hilarious.
Thats one of those inside jokes that might turn into something. The day I see some kid in a Civic with a "healthiest" sticker across his back windshield, I can say "I was there when that shit was first invented!", lol.
Gruesome finger slice there man. Hope it healed up.
I'm quite interested in how you made the emblem on your grille color matched. Did you sorta grind away at the back of it until there was only the clear left then painted it?
The projects you have going on, or ones that you already finished, are pretty cool.
thanks yah the emblem is actually a toyota color but pretty close. you just sand off the black paint from the back and finish with like 1000 grit then i used some adhesion promoter and then just paint it whatever color.
This morning I parked my car in my usual space at work. Get out of the car and our cat boris walks up and jumps on my hood up over C-3po and gives me this look like "thanks for returning my car, no scratches right?...." hes cool though so I let it slide.
