Thanks, Restless. I bet you are in the mid to high 14's with your current setup. Can you get back to the track anytime soon?

      Car Weighed: Results

As promised, I took the car to the local dirt track to be weighed on the scales. The car was in street spec (first picture on MRT) with the passenger seat, stock steelies all around, and a full tank of gas.

The scale read between 2552lbs and 2565lbs, so I am going to average that out to 2560lbs. That's a little higher than I expected, but there are more things I can do to lighten the car (stripping the tar, removing window motors, replacing glass with plexi, replacing hood and trunk with carbon fiber, etc.)

With a quarter tank at the track, car in race spec, and the passenger seat out, I expect the car to weigh around 2460lbs

2300 should be right around the corner. That is very light...I don't know why people are always saying these Accords are heavy.

Yeah, I should be able to get there. I will lose weight when putting in the coilovers, but the ESP bracing I am adding next will probably add some weight, oh well. This car feels light and I love it. They may be and feel heavy compared to a civic, but they are light when looking at the entire car output of the twentieth century.

          Dude, your sig...

            Wow!

I was under the belief our cars weighed between 2600-2800 lbs.

They do, in complete stock spec that is. Check out my first post if you haven't yet. I've stripped quite a bit out.

This is cool to see. Domesticated posted his weight and he is sitting at a cool 2955...

Lol, I had to do it. I was rolling when I read it.

                  Yeah, that thread...

Domesticated was at 2955, now he looks like he's down to 2800 ish.

Once I started gutting the car, I didn't stop until I didn't know how to remove something or I wasn't sure what would happen when I did. It was addicting for sure.

Not talking about your MRT thread, sorry for the mixup. I was talking about the Hellcat thread. Nothing against you on there, either. I would love to drive the Hellcat and see what a 700hp blown Hemi feels like. I also am excited to see them hit the drag strip at which I race. I just can't believe the arguing that went down over there, mostly between h22sparkle and shadow1. I wish that thread was closed two days ago.

Well, seeing what people wrote today, it seems like things have relaxed a little.

                              Ahahahaha !

That's the oldest picture on my MRT, taken back in about May of 2013. I wish the catapult wasn't in the way, but it's the oldest picture I had of the CB on my PC.

The story behind the trebuchet (French design for a catapulting weapon): a student that I had been tutoring since 2011 was in physics her senior year, and she needed help with the catapult project in the class. She got the materials and assembled most of it herself with the help of an engineer her parents hired (lots of money floating around). My job was to help her perform the test launches and tweaks to the device required by the project description. All the testing payed off, as hers launched a potato the farthest out of all the physics classes that year: 60m
