I like the option to "pay-as-you-go." I used that for the photoshop class I just took.

Ya I was following the discussion on POTN last night...
my name on their is Rolfe D. Wolfe
I agree. I have cs6, Lr4 and Canons software.
I rarely go outside LR, but it's nice having cs6 for certain things, like their content aware brushes.
I don't need any further updates, but if the day comes that I need to reinstall, or I have to have a certain feature...I should be able to buy it outright.....
since piracy won't be thwarted im sure ill be fine, however lol.

Bad idea Adobe! Your competion will eat you alive!
I can't honest say that I need anything more then what I have in CS6, LR4, Perfect Photo Suite 6, and DPP!
There's a good discussion going on over at POTN:

What's your thoughts on Adobe's recent decision...........
to go to the cloud.....creative cloud to be exact.

Basically, Adobe will no longer sell a one time license for Photoshop. Users will buy a perpetual license from them and be able to install it via the net on to their PC, and then edit via the cloud.
Lightroom, as of now, will remain a one time purchase.
Supposedly future updates for people not paying monthly, will still get Camera RAW updates, just no new features.
IMO, it's suicide. They are going to lose money, as from feeling the pulse of the photography world, not a lot of people are interested in a montly subscription, myself included.
I have a corporate connection that will give me one time license, but I just think it should stay as it is. Offer special versions with cloud storage, but don't take away the single license users.
Adobe even said its for them to focus on cc, not for piracy, so really it's just silly.Tags: None
