Same. I've lost two dogs, and a few outside cats that just disappeared. I love animals, and getting a pet is always on my mind, but then I remember their short lifespans and change my mind. When I was...

Took the sunroof visor off. See how far gone the paint on much of the car is:

Did the CB have different visors throughout the years, or maybe wagon vs sedan/coupe? These...

Unless you're revving higher than stock, upgrades probably aren't worth it.

If you don't have an air compressor to pressurize the cylinder through the spark plug hole, and you trust some...

Both look good in their own way; definitely keeping the amber signals around. Front end still needs some alignment tweaking...

I also picked up new axles and a...

Gotta say, I'm loving how many new and returning members I'm seeing. Feels like a proper revival! Let's hope it lasts.

The two most important parts about upgrading springs/retainers, aside from using quality materials to start with of course, seems to be 1) the angles machined into the retainer and valve lock you're using....

It's got a cat, but who knows how old the thing is and what it's internal condition is like. Does your state not have emissions? I'll be running a cat even when the H22 is in.

    The...

^ Yeah, I'd figure out the problem before throwing money at it. But 'springs and retainers' is a common upgrade even if you're not upgrading cams or valves. Stronger springs make it less likely that your...

It just sounded like you were considering getting S2 springs as a future upgrade for yourself (maybe I misunderstood when you said "valve kit" and assumed you meant the whole head setup), and...

It sounds like PMs aren't sorted out yet, but I got your half shaft, thanks!

Another thread reported that Koni Yellows are discontinued for us as well. My searching confirms. That...

I'm responding to a Visitor Message right now, and the text in the text box is white. The background is also white, so I can't see what I'm typing unless I highlight back over it. But after it's posted...

Not the springs, but the spring seats/bases. They're thicker than the OEM bases to make it possible to install S2's B-series springs in an H head at the correct height. If you decide to go with S2 springs,...

Yeah, that particular mark was the result of revving. I know water coming out of the exhaust is a sign of clean burning or the cat working as it should, I've just never seen it come out black like that....

Raf99 posted a Visitor Message for CyborgGT
"If you're talking S2 springs and all that, let me know if you go through with that route. I've got the spring bases sitting around that I can't use and could send you for just the cost of shipping....

Beats me. It seems to just be the typical water and carbon build up that you find in an exhaust system, but obviously a lot of it. I try doing a search for "exhaust spitting soot" and see pictures...

Maybe it's not a problem and my computer's bugging? Those buttons work if I go to "www.cb7tuner.com" but not if I go to just "cb7tuner.com"...

I'm liking it so far, but haven't taken too thorough a look around yet. I'm really liking the familiarity, though. Thanks to Mike and Pandemic for pulling it off!

    Something I noticed right...

Catching up here. The whole timing issue has been a big setback, time wise. It almost got delayed another week because I thought I lost that spoon-shaped bracket and its spring for the balance shaft pulley...

I'm pretty sure it was the H23 tensioner system's over-tightening of the belt that was doing it. We'll see in a few days when I can get out to the engine and put the H22 parts on. Aside from the KS Tuned...
