ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Speaker

Hey, I have a 91 coupe and I just bought a new deck. I need to get some new speakers for my car. What size does the car need? I really just want to get new door and rear speakers. If you know what size and what kind would fit, please help. Thanks.

ur car probably has 6.5"....i recommend Clarion...they will easily fit in all stock locations without any modifications...this way u have a very subtle audio upgrade without any flashy badges asking someone to steal them..

    oh and check this thread:

4 way speakers are the best because the come with two tweeters. Hook up an eq and you will get the best sound. Clarion makes one of the best eqs

I also like the infinity kappa 6x9 3-way's that I have in the rear deck. they have crossovers included but they rub on my trunk support tension bars so pay attention to the mounting depths avaiable in the link provided above

great more people tellin people to get 6x9's not knowing a damn thing and how much they suck. add a 10inch sub 300 rms watts and then do some decent 6.5's in the back. as always do 6.5 or 5.25 comps in the front with an amp...

speaker size: 6x9 rear and 6.5 front doors...
wat brand of speakers depends on u...whether u want to hear highs: go with infinity or alpine...
or if u want lows: go with pioneer...but dont quote me on this cuz im not an expert...just trying to give a lil advise...
but a good head unit *coughapline/infinitycough* and a good amp can make a big difference in sound...

no good on the sizing, EX has 6x9s in the rear, 6.5" in the front. any other model has 6.5" all the way around. i made my 6x9 hole into 6.5" cuz 6x9s blow. ive got alpine type r components in the front, 2way type r in the rear, and at the time a alpine mrp-450 on 1 JL06 10".
