ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

how do wer remove the steering wheel in our cars

Good morning cb7 I'm in the process of replacing my heater core . So my dash has to be removed I have the whole dash slipper
A loose but, I have ran into a problem removing the steering wheel , there are 4 screws going in from the back side of the wheel 5 if you have cruise control I have removed all of them but I can not figure out how to get to the 4 screw s that hold the horn button on? I have seen some members have said drop the steering collum but the whole in the lower portion of the dash is not big enough to slide the wheel threw how do I remove the wheel? And is it easier to just pull the whole steering collum wheel turn signals ignition and wiper switches as a unit?

The whole dash shouldn't need to come all the way out, just far enough to get behind it. Remove the plastic trim under the steering column, drop the column and then move the dash out of the way.
If you decide to remove the wheel anyway: I'm not 100% positive, but if you've got all the screws out of the back, the horn cover should just be clipped into place, you might need a little bit of prying to get it to pop loose, then you're going to need to unbolt the wheel and using a wheel puller (or wiggle the hell out of it while pulling towards you), remove the wheel to get it off. Make sure you mark a line on the plate inside the wheel and on the threaded post to align it correctly when you put it back on or you might end up with a steering wheel that doesn't point straight when the car does.

do you have a 90-91 or 92-93? if you dont have an airbag, you dont need to take any of those screws out, you only need to take off the "h" piece from the center of the steering wheel then un-do the big nut holding the wheel on. pull it off and you're good to go minus the electrical connections.
