    Acura Legend front seat swapp

So I have a guy from work offering me front and back seats off a legend. the seats are black leather and was thinking of just swapping the 2 fronts. I have knowledge in auto electronics so I know making them work wont be a problem. I searched and came up with these 2 threads but none of them say if it was actually done, so my question is has anybody tried this?

I'm in a similar position except I'm using Acura RL seats instead. I have the wiring schematic and I just need to find the time to wire them up. The seats have their connectors and everything but I needed and wanted extra slack for them so i went to the junkyard and found a 3rd Gen Legend Coupe 8-way adjustable seat and clipped the wiring harness all the way to the main harness for both ends. I found out they match up with my RL seats except for one connector end which is different.

Now that I think about it I would like some extra slack on the wires too. I'll probably hit the scrap yard too. As far as the back seats fitting I highly doubt it just from looking at them they look a lot wider than the stock seats. I have tan SE interior so I'll probably just end up re-wraping them in black leather.

Are the SE tans in good condition? I would try to find another set of leathers at the junkyard and re-wrap those and sell the SE's instead. The SE leather I think was more of different tan...Kinda more of a cream color and looks really nicer.

That's a really good idea, the back seats are pretty much brand new except for a little rip by the headrests. I had my cloth interior but it got thrown away at my friends shop while they were cleaning it out a while back. I guess I can get regular coupe seats and have them done in leather.

*Off topic* I've been looking at your current projects and I just wanted to know about the oem flushy and the rear windshield spoiler, are you going to make more than one I would be interested and I'm sure many other members of the board.

Back from the dead with an update. I'm working on the swapp as I type this via sidekick, I don't have a cam on me so I won't be able to post pics of this but I'll try to explain how I can what's going on. So far I've taken off the passenger side seat and compared the seats, the legend seat its a bit wider than the cb and the rails are quite a bit different. At this moment I'll be trying to see how the legend seat lines up inside the car. I'll be back later with another update.

Ok guys I'm half way done with it. The seats are in place but are only being held on at the moment by 2 screws on each seat set up one on the front and one on the back crossed. This way (\) on the drivers side and (/) on the passenger side, the bolts lined up like that as for the other 2 bolts the other front one has to be bent inward a little more to fit and the rear one will have to be drilled to the chassis in order to be complete. The next part will be electrical and I didn't get a chance to play with it too much but I know so far what wires power the motors in order for the seats to move, so far I left it how I usually have my regular seats set up.

I took a few pics with the sidekick camera but they are very low quality I'll post them up tonight.

Here are the pics as promised.

This was at first test fitting but we later on found out that this didn't need to be done.

This is how the seats look in the car now.

Also I forgot to mention the headrest from the legend fit the CB7 seats for any of you guys that like swapping headrests. Am I the First one doing this???
