No thanks. I figured out that it had an L20B in it, which was the highest power 112HP version, which is the ideal engine I wanted anyway. It has also already been converted to HEI ignition, so that simplifies things greatly. No RB26's, no CA18, SR20s, KA24s. I just want it old school and simple.

It is going to be a DD, a cruiser and a weekend driver. Not a race truck.

Yes, I wanted something old school, and this fit the bill. And you are right. If you look past the paint, there is about 3 or 4 little dents that need help, but other than that, just some smoothing, TLC and some paint.

And I hope that I can find the time and money to finish all the way to the end. I am going to do my best! I am thinking about some autobody classes this summer, so we shall see. If I do end up doing it, I definitely have the truck to do it with!

This one will be different for me. I am going to go back to my roots, which is old Hot Rods. Someday, I will have an actual hotrod, but for now, I will enjoy this.

I want to lower it. Not on bags or hydros though. I am going to shave it, chrome/polish it, paint it and drive it.

I have a combination of about 3 colors running through my head, and I can't exactly figure out how I want to do it yet. I am thinking some black interior with machined aluminum accents to give it that old school hot rod feel, maybe custom build a guage cluster for it, and then I would like to put a wood floor in the bed, with a tonneau cover of some kind. Overall, it will be mild, but substantial, and clean, which is my style.

I have PLENTY of work to do before any of that though. Like get it started lol! The oil looks clean, the carb looks clean, and upon further inspection, I think MOST of what I though was surface rust is actually mud (they lived on a dirt road). I am honestly glad I picked this up. It is as clean as I thought, has the engine I was hoping for, and it looks like the kid was starting to trash it, or offroad it. So it is in a good home now.

I think I just sold my hatchback, so that will give me some breathing room to get this started.
