    shift knob cover for summertime?

I just bought a sweet looking GReddy GREX shift knob a little while back. But the other day it was clost to 90* and the second I put my hand on it, it was WAY too hot.

What do you guys do to keep them cool to the touch in the summertime? btw, its going to get a lot hotter in the coming months lol.

Haha, I'm going to have this same problem. Bought a Blox aluminum knob, cold as hell in the winter, going to be hot as hell in the summer. I was thinking about using the little pouch thing I got to put the face of my cd player in. Even though it's black, it should help keep the heat down, I hope

Get a brake/clutch reservoir sock or a similar wristband and sew one end of it together. bam.

during the day while im at work and if the sun is beating down on the car i have my hat sitting over the knob,
but yeah a towel would work too.

Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea before you leave your car to put up a sun shade and put a towel over the shift knob. It will still be hot, but not nearly as bad.

ninjaedit: billkisme beat me to it.

hmmm, well i do have this cell phone holder thing I got at a car show. Its made out of a terry cloth material. Only downside is it has a Scion logo on it lol, and its bright aqua green but I'll see if that'll work.

imma fabricate some cloth, sock type, "condom" type covers that are stretchable to slide onto the shift knob like sleve with a honda emblem

                    Your sig is awesome.

What about a beverage cozy? Or similar material. They keep cold things, cold and hot things, hot.

I like the idea of the wristband cover. That or a Crown Royal bag.

Srsly. Just grab one of your (preferably clean) socks. Throw it over it lol.
If it's just while you're at work, who cares what it looks like.

Metal shift knobs are the devil. Pointless. Always too hot or too cold and not enough grip.
