    yes. it lifts the speaker out of the pod so that deeper speakers can fit in shallow pods

        Now for everyone else. we are all agreeing that we should put 6x9s in the rear then teh otehr 6.5s? CORRECT EVERYONE?? LOL!

                    I just finished swapping out mystock LX speaker pods for some EX 6x9 pods..

                    put in my pioneer 240watt 6x9's i had sitting around and had absolutly no problem getting speakers to fit and bolt in my rear deck.. iunno just my 2 cents i say try it some some 6x9 pods b4 you go getting spacers or cutting

                    8 Accords so far:
                    '81 SE Sedan(1st Gen), '83 SE Sedan(2nd Gen), '89 SE Sedan(3rd Gen)
                    '89 DX Sedan(3rd Gen), '92 LX Coupe(4th Gen), '92 EX Wagon(4th Gen)
                    (3rd gen parts car) I'm currently Driving a '14 Accord Sport 9th Gen

                          horns and 8" mids lol. I paid about 400 for everything.
                          But it doesn't take that much. A good component set and amplifier can do some damage if installed properly. And less speakers give you a more focused sound, imo.
