ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Crazy Idle after replace headgasket

    Hey guys

after 11months i finish replace my headgasket on 93 accord ><!

I also did h23 im swap

I start it up and it cold idle at 2.5k rpm and all the sudden 3K then 1K then 3K then 2K then 3K

i reinstalled IM again thinking it might be a leak. I also added some hi temp gasket maker to make sure it seal properly
i also made sure FITV is tight down

i found this video with the same symptom i'm having
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClLtJNVE-2M

i get 150 psi on all the cylinder

Could it be my TPS is not properly set?

    or Air in the coolant?

my timing belt is not tension properly?

    my timing is off?

just need some idea before i troubleshoot it again this weekend

I've heard of this before, unfortunately I don't remember how they solved it.
My friends BMW got water in the cylinders and became water locked. He got all the water out and it ran similar to what your car is doing. It eventually stopped though. Maybe just run your car for a while until it "burns off" what ever is causing it?
    MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

Get some awesome wipers! <-- It's a DIY

Try bleeding the coolant...you can also remove the intake and start the motor. In the throttle body plug the 2 holes in front of the butterfly valve and if the motor doesn't die you have a vaccuum leak....

All your vaccuum line hook up correctly? I had this same isue when I swapped my F22B (H23) plenum over, just to find I didn't screw 2 of the nuts down all the way.....

      Just some thoughts.
      3 CB's gone....
      1 WK Overland....

Still miss the CB though......maybe one day.

I swapped the whole IM with h23 runner. My F22a6 was damaged from EGR valve cleaning ><!

hmmm I will definitely try that

Sorry, I meant the whole manifold.....not just the plenum.

I bleeded the coolant, fill it to the top.

            Everything is good now

Also found disconnected vacuum hose by cruise control. My idle is now OK
