ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

The plenum will fit, but the entire manifold won't.

The upper half of the h22 and h23 are the same, But the lower half are not the same.

The h22's manifold won't bolt up to your f22 block. The h23's manifold WILL bolt up to the f22 block.

If you end up getting an h22 intake manifold, and take it apart, it'll look like this.

Now, the top half of the intake manifold, that I took off.....that's the only part of the h22 intake manifold you can use. You have to keep the lower part of the manifold of your f22a6 that's bolted onto the block. Therefore, if you buy an h22 intake manifold, you can only use the upper half. Might as well buy an h23 manifold if you want to do a complete intake manifold swap.

Wouldn't that be sort of a restriction? Since the plate's slid over on the left a tad, doesn't it block part of the right off, stopping the air from passing through 100% flowingly?

the port are supposedly angled to allow free flow with no restrictions. Don't know how well it works.

Thats why you just use f22a6 lower part and bolt the h22 upper part to it...

Go to a junk yard that has both motors, and you shouldn't have any problem

The F22A6 runners are actually better to use then the H23 runners anyway. I hear they are slightly longer. Just take take the IAB plate off the H22 manifold, gut the butterflies and stack it with your F22A6 IAB's. Then take the H22 plenum and put it on top of that. You will also need a H22/23 throttle body because the F series throttle body will not bolt up to the H22/23 plenum

yup yup, Absurd. That photo's of an f22a6, complete manifold, but the h22's aren't really different, except for plenum size. But you're right man, if you do end up going through with this, it's best to go all the way. Get yourself a spacer, and make sure you have an h22 throttle body. Thing is, there are some h22 throttle bodies that are smaller than others, meaning...you could actually end up getting an h22 intake manifold, that has a throttle body the same size as the one on the f22a6, which basically wastes time and money. Which is also why it's better to get the h23. With the h23 plenum thrown in an a6 manifold, you won't see CRAZY power, but about 3-4hp maybe. If you were to throw a spacer on there also, they're said to gain 5hp. (blacktrax dyno'd it). Thing is, if you get the whole h23/h22 intake manifold, you automatically have your spacer. Spacer, meaning...the plate your IAB/Butterfly system is in. Instead of explaining, just check this thread out man.

A6/PT9 runners are roughly 1/2" shorter than H23/P14 runners, not a huge diff. but it's still a 1/2". A6 runners have more easily service-able EGR ports aswell. All in all, you can't go wrong w/ the full H23 IM.
