ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet
Money and Knowledge are never in the same sentence, because people with Money think they know it all, but people with knowledge, know better.-ragingasian

I'm not entirely sure, just got those capacities out of my A/C book. They might have just decreased the capacity to appease harsher EPA regulations until they switched to R-134A.

            Capacity

All data says 28-30oz but you may want to think about converting it over to 134a all it will take is a couple fittings to adapt. O yea and dont forget to add compressor oil or the compressor may lock up. Good Luck

It takes a lot more than that to do it the right way.

              1) You should flush the entire system.
              2) Replace the receiver/drier.
              3) Pull the compressor and drain all the mineral oil out.
              4) Fill the system with PAG46, I would put most of it in the compressor, remainder in the evaporator line (high-pressure side). Turn the compressor over by hand 40 times with the oil in it.
              5) Upgrade to a parallel flow condenser to increase performance with R-134A.
              6) Charge around 60% of R-12 charge with R-134A, and slowly work your way up, taking test drives to check vent temperature. Once you reach a point that vent temperature increases after adding charge, STOP! Allow 7-10 minutes between adding refrigerant so the system can stabilize with the new charge.

Those are the basics of it. It's not as easy as "discharge system, screw on fitting, add R134-A," like the Wal-Mart kits would like you to think.
