ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    CA out of state registration

Just got done wreching on a out of state cb7, gonna flip it. It was last registerd in Mississippi and need to get registered in California. This is a first for me, anyone registerd out of state car in California?

My friend did , he had a hard time because the out-of-state car had no catalytic converters which was ok on that state , but not on CA. He had to spend $200 to get cats installed + registration.

from my understanding if we ship a car from hawaii to CA we are allowed a 1 year smog exemption?!?! not 100% sure but im sure its like that or similar. plus all you really have to do is find a stock honda accord here get that smoged and show that paper when u register your car.

It's not a big deal, needs to be smogable in Cali. I bought a Camry at auction with Texas plates. I think it was a lien sale, although I can't remember if that was the correct status or term. But the only thing different that I had to do was to take it to a CHP office for an inspection. It passed, so all I had to do was pay for registration and get it smogged.

I remember it being more thorough than that. I'm pretty sure he put it on a lift and the guy was checking out everything. That was a long time ago so my memory is fading. He also asked me if I noticed anything wrong with the car.

Im good on the cat, I visually verified it. Hey Juan, Nice cb7, its identical to my 93 cb7, except for the fog lights and the front lip. Where in Cali. are you from?
Im thinking of taking my car for inspection to a local DMV.

My wagon is from out of state. I got a smog check and went through a brief inspection at the dmv. They made sure the vins matched and made sure the airbags were intact and that was about it.

You just gotta know people who can pass a "hot smog" for you.... It will end up costing you a little less like $150-$200 and you dont gotta go around buy and installing all oem parts back on your car.... Im gonna have to face this problem soon since I need to register my Arizona CB here in Cali.... How much did you pay to change it over to Cali?
