ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Why I can't go over 125 Mph ?

Damn ! Every time I am racing some one I got left behind because the engine cut off at 125 mph !
What is that? How can I free my car up from this restriction ?
    It makes me crazy !
    Any help !

Ive read that some ecu's have a speed limiter. My stock 92 ex hits 125 no prob. Im not sure what the cutoff speeds of those ecu's are.

It's called a speed limiter and it's there for a reason. It can be removed, but why in the world do you want to go over 125mph on the street?

With a chipped ecu you could get rid of that. Why would you go that fast anyway lol?

          Just one question....

How long of a race is this that you have the chance to get all the way up to 125?

If your racing an honest 1/4 mile and hit 125mph then your car is very very quick. Or are you bombing around on the freeway.

Bombing around the freeway, but my car is very fast ! I don't really know how fast in a 1/4 mile...

Im sure its fast, but trust me in a 1/4 mile race you wont see anything near 125mph.

I guess, either way he would need a different ecu or chip. My f22 ecu was limited

Probably not ! but... Still... It's going to be hard to find an ecu without the restriction. There is some chips they sell in ebay. They promisse is not a scam. Do you think it would remove the restriction ?

What is really fast to you might be really slow to another. Sorry, but if you constantly bombing around at 125mph, I'm happy your car cuts off, it should cut off before that before you kill yourself of someone else.
