    93exsedan : 1992 Accord EX

****Update below, I fixed all my rust....yay****
Hey, I'm John. I Love my CB7 so I figured I'd make a members rides page. I'm going to try to include every part of making the car what it is so far. Heres all the details on the car:

    1992 Accord EX, 5 speed, 4 door

    Mods List:
-Some no name lowering springs that ride AWESOME...lol.
-Strut bars(one under the hood, and one in the trunk)
-3A racing exhaust(this will be changed....it was on the car when I bought it)
-Intake(possible ebay, also on the car when I got it)
-Spoon header, yes spoon, but probably a knock off...lol. Also came with the car.
-DIY headlights(black housing in low beams, and yellow in highs, and yellow high beam bulbs)
-Black grill, just waiting to order me an ebay one.
    -16" Nissan Sentra wheels
-Complete Pioneer stereo(all speakers and head unit)
-Amber corner lights(edm; (ebay domestic market)...lol)

I'm sure theres some more stuff I'll think of to add to it.

Heres the before pictures from when I bought it:

Picture of the inside(actually still pretty nice, even though it's burgundy):

    Picture of the engine:

Okay, I'm sure everyone has heard of the roller paintjobs. After driving around for a little while with it in primer, I decided to give it a shot. Heres the pictures from the "Roller" paintjob. It didn't turn out too bad. Keep in mind, it's only temporary until I do the body work. I just wanted paint on the car...lol.

    Getting started on the sanding:

Getting the moldings taped up and ready to "roll"...lol:

First coat of paint, and I was wondering what I had gotten myself into:

    Starting the second coat:

Starting to cover the grey and look a little better:

Okay, the car has paint on it now:

Started painting the moldings back to black:

    New wheels:

    New Lowering Springs:

DIY headlights, black grill, and amber corners:

I think thats about it so far. There will be lots more to come so I'll be sure to update as I do new things to the car. I definately see an h22 in this cars future soon. Plus bodywork still needs to be done, and a real paintjob after that. Probably gonna paint it black if I can get the body straight enough. If it's still got little dings here and there, I'll probably just stick with the white so they won't be quite as noticable. Let me know what you think. I'm looking forward to hearing some comments.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it so far(for the amount of money I have in it). I'm getting married next month, so after that, I'll have some money to spend on it...lol. Body looks decent enough from 10 feet away, so I'm gonna try to get my h22 after the wedding.

              http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=279

Also, car looks so much better than before.
Are you going to paint the sideskirts and rear bumper skirt?
Should look very nice once its all done.

Again, looks 1000x better than what it did.

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate the compliments. I sanded down both quarters today and got all the rust out and used body filler(bondo) to fill the holes. I will post pics either later on tonight, or sometime tomorrow. It looks soooooo much better without the big hole in the passenger side quarterpanel...lol. Oh, and I also added my mods list. Again, thanks for the compliments. It's starting to look better...lol. Just gotta get two doors for her and then it will be time for real paint...lol. Honestly, the rust was my biggest issue with the car, and now that it's fixed, I feeling alot more like buying my doors I need. I'll keep everyone updated, and post my rust-fix-pics here shortly.

Well heres how the rust holes turned out. What do you guys think. I think it's presentable and unnoticable to the average person...

This side had 8 or 9 small holes right infront of the tail light on the quarterpanel. I'll have to find a before picture of the holes unless one of the pictures I already posted is close enough to see them. You can't even tell they were there. This side turned out perfect.

This side, obviously had a huge hole in it. FIXED...well, theres still a dent, but I can probably pop most of that out from the trunk. Another day though...lol. You can see it was dark when I was getting done. I had my two big halogen lights outside so I could see. I put a before and after pic of this one. It was big, so you can see it in almost every picture I have of my car...lol. This side didn't turn out perfect, but if I didn't point it out to people, I doubt they'd notice.

Keep in mind, this is the first time I've ever used bondo without the help of someone who can do bodywork. Another reason I did a cheap ghetto paintjob on the car was so I could match the color back up while I was doing the bodywork and you wouldn't be able to tell. Let me know what you guys think about it.

I want to paint the car black, but I'm scared all the little dings will show really bad. I'm thinking maybe silver. What do you guys think. The car is originally seatle silver. Doorjambs and all are still original color.

Thinking about painting the wheels......what color do you guys think would look good on my car. I'm thinking of doing them flat black with just the little tiny flat lip right at the tire red......what do you guys think?
