From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    DSM injector seals keep leaking

so last week i replaced two sets of seals/o-rings on my injectors cuz 2 of them were leaking. i replaced the larger rubber seals on the bottom of the injector that are placed in the IM, as well as the tiny ones on the top of the injectors that seal into the fuel rail. i replaced all 8 of them.
now today another one started leaking again... WTFFF!!!!

on the bottom of the injector there's supposed to be a plastic o-ring that's under the rubber ones and i took all of them out cuz i read to do so w/ the DSM's. and i also bored out the rubber ones with a dremel so the DSM' could fit, so the injectors seal very very snuggly into them.

how is everyone else doing it? leaving the plastic seal in there??

i dont know how everyone else is doing it but all i did was remove the hard seal and i didnt modify the rubber seals. but i am using evo9 injectors wich i think are the same other than the cc's. it is really tight but no leaks yet.

I USED to dremmel out the injector bushings, but I found that to be unessicary. When I do injector upgrades, i just put new bushings and o rings on, and make sure I lubricate them with grease/assembly lube/petrolium jelly, install the injectors into the fuel rail first, slowly and gently push them in... make sure none of the o-ring is getting caught up and pinched off when you put them in.

Then put the injectors/fuel rail on, push down a little till you can get the nuts started, and tighten the nuts down on the rail. you should be good from there.

        NO DREMELING OR MODIFICATION NEEDED!

        keep all your seals.
on the lower ones for around the injector just lube up the outside of the injector with oil or something and just slip them in.

very simple, no modification or dremel required for DSM injectors!

I found it easiest to use the dremel on the hard plastic piece to make the boar ever so slightly bigger.

No Danny, you don't need to do that.
Mine slid right in wthout any modification.
              Joser helped.

aight i just put the new seals in the way hondabob described, and put the plastic seals in as well and they already LOOK like they'll seal 1000000 times better than the previous way.

                tnx guys!
