The very first turbocharged 2.4 G6

This is my wife and my project, we'd been working on turbocharging it for a while and it's finally coming together. Its a 2.4 Ecotec mated to the 4T45E. A buddy of ours is fabricating the header, d.p., and w.g. dump tube. The current setup goes something like this.....

    Garrett T3/04E
    CXR intercooler
    Tial 38mm
    Tial BOV
    Generic ebay charge pipe kit
Custom fabbed turbo header, downpipe, and wastegate dump tube.
    Cobalt SS injectors
    Walbro 255
    Turbo XS boost controller
    Tuned with HP tuners

    Other mods include:
    Cobalt SS wheels
    Sport grilles
    Sprint springs
    2 12" Rockford P1's
    20% Tint
    Smoked tail lights
    12k HID's

Had to get rid of the battery tray so the i.c. piping could fit.

    Intercooler support

    Relocated battery to the trunk

      Yes!

Good call. Im surprised you're going the Cobalt route as opposed to using the GTP and GXP parts. Id say grab the skirts off a G*P and i wouldve used SS Impala wheels myself, but it still looks awesome.

Yea that would be the initial thought, it didn't take us too long to figure out that there's no aftermarket for the V6 cars. Plus the 2.4 is factory forged and a little more friendly to boost than the 60 degree V6's.

very nice pictures. I notice that this is the very same design that the cobalt has. As i work on his from time to time the mounts almost look identical in placement and in design.
