I've been looking at the NE threads over the course of the summer, and it seems as if either no one is interested in meeting or no one wants to take the initiative. Nevertheless, we need a meet.
I'm going to attempt to rally up us all to come together to laugh, talk, have fun, avoid all drama, set differences and past debates aside, to unite as we should. I've been learning a lot about "people" sticking together, and from what I've seen on this board, our community has this.
I do understand that we have members as far North as Connecticut and New Hampshire down to Maryland and Virginia. I'm not sure who still checks in and is active on the boards, but I hope they all catch wind of this. I'll try to post this thread into other threads to make it widely known about.
This is where everyone can post suggestions about meeting place/location, time, festivities, permits, etc. I know some don't like to travel to Philadelphia due to the stigma that we have placed upon our great city, but let me assure you it's has it's good points. There's Fairmount park which is huge.
Anyway, I know that we want to give people time to plan, so I'm thinking maybe a two or three month time window. Possibly early November could be a good time, as it's not too cold, and we can still BBQ. Just ideas.
Please don't be a stranger, and help us all out. This thread over the next week or so will show the interest of members, and see if this can actually blossom into something.
