Alright, many of you guys know I'm been trying to finish my project and my car is standing in the way. It was running one month and it decided to not run the next month, what the heck? The engine not getting fuel, the main relay keeps clicking in irregular pulses, all the fuses look fine, all grounds are connected, and almost all the wires are getting the power they need to run right....why can't anything go right for me?? I have absolutely no money(small amount), no job, and nobody around here hires during the winter(no good jobs that is)....All I can say is I'm depressed, irritated, saddened, and really mad that I can't figure out what's wrong with my car and why I can't keep it running for a long amount of time. I'm so close to being done with this car....Sorry for the rant, but nobody is helping(people are trying, but getting me nowhere) me and I'm tired of not having a car for over 5 months.

Reasons why you are on the losing end of your project:
1. Constant shifts in focus. You need to break down the large project into a set of mini projects. When you decide to work on something, set out to finish it before moving to the next.
2. Discouraged: Failure is not supposed to discourage you. Its supposed to help you refine your approach.
3. Step your game up: So everything seems ok. Do some research. Do not start new threads. Rather, look online on other forums and sources. People have ran into your problems before. Look at how they went about fixing it. Use their experiences to help you fix your problems. In other words, cram some more freaking knowledge into your brain.
4. Money: Its an issue, but its a minor one. If you are short on money, it only means its time to get a bit more creative. A few simple tools and a creative mind can go a long way.
When I was still learning, my uncle told me this. It helped me out alot. Sometimes, I deviate from the process, but only when I am dealing with things that I consider to be minor, like installaitons.

Nice, I been trying to relay a similar message to those getting into modifying/tuning their cars. #1 is a killer to most.Originally posted by AcclipseH23Reasons why you are on the losing end of your project:

Anyways, accord91lx (David) and I spent a good time with Caleb tonight narrowing down his problems. He is supposed to hit us back on results after he gets a good battery to find out if the "extremely" loose ground wire in the main relay is the cause. We also had him test many other main relay possibilities to make sure they are in-check.
*crossing fingers on his car starting up* Keep us posted man.

Yes, indeed....6 long hours of chatting with cisco and david, running back and forth, testing 102 different wires, 4 different main relays, 2 different ecu.....I resume tomorrow and hopefully have nothing but good news to share.Originally posted by HondaFan81Anyways, accord91lx (David) and I spent a good time with Caleb tonight narrowing down his problems. On a sidenote, I'm not a type of person that gives up easily after all, I've been dealing with this problem on 2 or 3 different occasion for the past 5 months. Yes Phil, you did bring up some good points...always good tohave a fellow caring cb7tuner member to fall upon in times of help.

Thats always good. Also, remember do not start new threads. Especially in our tech forum. I have read some of the most twisted advice in there...Originally posted by 92HondaEXYes, indeed....6 long hours of chatting with cisco and david, running back and forth, testing 102 different wires, 4 different main relays, 2 different ecu.....I resume tomorrow and hopefully have nothing but good news to share.

Example: A guy go into an accident had all the power in his car dead. Someone suggested the main relay...
When in doubt refer to a honda shop manual, or Haynes. Thoroughly check your work, or even redo it. I found that redoing somethings can expose problems that you never caught on to before.
And, reading past threads where the problem was solved can give you an idea on what the cause of your problem may be.Last edited by KillerCam282; 01-21-2006, 09:03 AM.
