We should have a section for tools.

I am a little upset because...

I was installing a new starter today because the old (new) one got fried from a bad dizzy. So I was out side freezing my bleppppppp off (and my son who was supposed to be helping fell asleep on me) BLEEEEP, and I lost another socket. Everytime I work on my car, I always loose a socket. First it was a 12 mm, then one little one disappeared, and today a 14 mm just vanished. It slipped between the motor mount and the tranny, and when I went to pull it out, it juts vanished. WTF.

We still need a tool section though. I just had to get that out.

i feel like it would get as far as

"what kind of tools do u have?"

then die down once everyone said what they had.

I don't know. I noticed that people hold converstaions for hours about tools. I am pretty sure we have people who are addicted to their tools on this forum. Not just automotive tools either. Discuss brands and preferences. Which one will break and which ones will take a beating like a wiseco piston.

I dont think a tools section will justify its self. Just make an official tool chat thread or something like that just like make of the other ones. Many other forums do this as well.

For me, i made it a point not to loose any tools when i bought my new craftsman set. So far i haven't lost any, and yes ive spent hours just looking in the engine bay for dropped ones. Good thing is that now bc i dont have anything in there, most of the time they fall to the ground

Hey what is recommended to take off the timing belt cover? That thing is a pain to take off with a little 10mm wrench.

Why do we need an entire for section for tools when they have their own website, its called honda-tech.

i love tools. having the right tool for the right job really makes things tons easier. I have all craftsman stuff since they are affordable for the amateur mechanic and do it your selfer and still have the lifetime warranty.

so far I have a 250 set with the 4 drawer box. helps you see what you are missing if you lose anything.

i really need a breaker bar and a few good torque wrenches.

I'll probably skimp on those by getting them from harbor frieght since im dead broke and saving for important things.
