Honda V8?

k i was at work today talking to this guy who runs a diesel performance shop and always talks about 'oh my diesel pickup has 800 lb ft torque' and 'oo you should have seen this honda that i raced, i whooped his ass' but he kinda knows his shit....anyways we were talking today about cars and for some reason i was like 'yeah its kinda weird that honda is one of the only companies without a v8 in their flagship car' and hes like yeah but they have em in the trucks and i was like huh??? and hes like yeah they have v8's in their full size trucks. at first i thought he was talking about the pilot or something and im like nooo...thats a 3.5 v6 and hes like nooo...in germany and australia they have full size honda pickup trucks, like a dodge ram or chevy silverado with v8's in em. i am 99.9999999% sure that honda does not have a full size pickup truck, let alone a fuckin v8! anybody wanna shed some light on this, is he just blowing smoke up my ass?

The new restyled Honda Legend (Acura RL) will be the first rear wheel drive Honda luxury sedan. It will also be the first Honda V8 made for a production car. Not to mention the 300+ hp rating it will also be the first Hybrid full sized luxury sedan in the world. Expected release date has now been finalized as 2005. This car has been suposed to come out since 2002 but Honda has kept pushing it back and pushing it back but it finally looks like a reality.

Full size Honda truck, I've never heard of one and I fallow Honda pretty closely. But one never knows. I learn new things everyday.

v8 in the rl? i heard they were going with a 270 hp v6...but i may be wrong. i heard something about a hybrid v8 but i didnt know it was for sure

Yeah it's a reality. My father the Acura RL (Legend) lover gets and Acura insider magazine that has all the spy pictures and stats and crap.

I acutally saw the first mock-ups in 2000 off one of the spy sites on the internet. I'm sure you can still dig that garbage up.

They are definately going V8 hybrid rwd with this new RL/Legend. The car is begging to be restyled they just have to get the kinks worked out.

I mean Jesus we are going to be going on out third gen TL and CL next year and the RL remains the same first gen since 1996. The market is in need of this new car that has been promised.
