to be honest i remember these from a whillleee back, people were kinda all saying the same things about them...

i still think its cool, wouldnt have to buy packs of crush washers anymore (seems i always use them up on other peoples cars, and always need to buy more for when i do mine) but it IS $25 and i could find a number of other things that could be used for.... but still, i want one :P its nifty. convenient, without being excessive.

i can see the concern about knocking it off, but i dont think i really smash my drain pan all that often...

IMO, that is the weakest point of the design, if it is made of inferior material. Not that I care to find out, but someone should.
Ugh, just a plastic o-ring like any other replacement bolt and it'll seal just as good as factory

I don't just go to anyone to do my work. As you see above, I've been burned... but the place I go to, I have full faith in.
              15 minutes and free>10 minutes and $29?

I really don't trust too many people fiddleing with my car. Too much at stake. I've seen some really fowl stuff done at dealerships, Jiffy Lubes, and beyond. It's a good idea, but I don't think I will invest in one; still an excellent idea. I hope the inventor makes millions.

Some people don't have time to or knowledge to change their own oil. A trusty mechanic is better than a DIY backyard mechanic that have no idea.

And what is up with owning a CB7 and not letting others do oil change? A suppose its reserved for those driving the higher end cars?

Its just as bad as ours with the down pipe there and the oil spilling all over.

Oil in yo face is good. It makes y ou feel alive and you can show your friends your burn marks later on. Anyway I wouldnt mind one of those valves for my transmission it would make life easier. But then the only thing I would worry about is hitting something and accidentally triggering the valve for lowered vehicles allowing my trans fluid to drain out. Kinda reminds me of a air brake drain system on big rigs.

If you're right, that's what I was afraid of. I'd replace that washer with an OEM style/metal crush washer. Plastic gets brittle with heat over time and cracks = there goes your sealing capability.

It actually will save you some time if you accidently over fill your car. Just drain and close, you wont have to pull out the wrench.

A fluid extractor does what is mentioned and more.

Oh yea those are nice. Dont have to jack up the car only for filter. Cleans up that oil pan decently too. I would like to use one for my trans.
