Is anybody else watchin this show? Ive been a big fan of SG-1 but im not sure how i feel about Atlantis yet.

I like SG1 a bit more. It's nice to watch a little diffrint version of stargate after SG1 though.

Chalk me up as undecided on Atlantis...sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't...
The same goes for SG-1 though... sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't... I was shocked when they killed off dr. jackson but like alot of people I thought it got alot better after that... and then when they brought him back I was like wtf? I thought Parker Lewis did a good job filling his shoes...
I dunno tho... only time will tell... If they have some more crossover type plotlines it would be better...
What I do know though is that Samantha Carter is teh hawtness...

My roommate is NUTS about Stargate. I like to watch it, but I only catch it when he has it on. I haven't seen Atlantis yet, but the concept sounds cool.
I'll miss the original cast though (the SG-1 cast). It's just not Stargate without MacGyver!
The way they put the SG-1 cast together (better than the movie, IMO) is what really made the show. If the cast of Atlantis can be anywhere near as good together, and likable, then it should do well.

SG-1 is on it's last season. I'm not sure exactly why. I know Richard Dean Anderson is feeling the need to get out. However, the writers are probably reaching the limits of making the show interesting. You can only do so much with such a show before it becomes silly. Up until now, I think it's a very well written show. Any more, and they'd have to get too "out there" I think.
