sweet...question about returned mail. certified mail was "sent" to where i currently live but was returned to sender with a sticker slapped over my address and part of the tracking code and checked with "forwarding order expired" ive been at this address 8 months and dont have any fwding orders so i dont know why they would check that. now i made a mistake on court documents and put the wrong first number of my zip code but i still get all mail from them no problem. does the post office normally put these stickers on a blank part of the envelope because ive never seen them cover up addresses or tracking numbers.

thanks for any help, just seems like some fishy stuff going mail wise from the defendent im suing.

she said make sure the address is correct.

second, it might have been a different carrier other than your regular carrier. She said most regular carriers dont pay attention to mistakes like that, as long as the name remains the same on a consistant basis. EX. if you get one letter that has all of the correct info "john smith here st. san diego ca 11111" and theres another one "john smith here st. san diego ca 41111" A replacement carrier is not going to fuck with it and send it back.

also a forwarding order is initiated whenever a change of address has been filed, and holds effect for about a year.

she says just try and correct the zip code issue with the court.

            Hope we helped.

            Good luck!

thanks for the insight...still dont understand why one important piece of certified mail from defendant doesnt make it to my house yet the piece i sent from the same post office to the same wrong address did...i think shes fudging mailings somehow to get the case dropped
