Just did my tour, starting june 23, has anyone gone here or does anyone know who has? I would like CB7Tuner's thoughts on this college, since i hold all of your opinions highly. In my opinion, it looked fuckin great. Cant wait to start.

Depends I dunno I have heard good and bad about UTI. Personally I would try the reviews see the acception rates when people get out of the college to see if its worth it in the end. A college might look good but that doesnt mean it will be good and give you the proper training. It is all down to the instructors to teach you and so on.

i went there for about 7 classes. i hated it the school its self it nice but the teachers get off topic way too much. but there are some good ones there. The reason i quit was because i took auto class in high school and i was not learning anything new.

Thats what I hate. Its ok for teachers to get off topic but dont do it all the time. My old school just had a teacher that did not teach for crap and the others were alright. I hate classes with a lot of lecture I prefer to be in lab. After coming to SIUc I like how the teachers here teach and put you in lab. IMO lab > lecture if your going into the automotive field. Touch something you recognize it and so on. I have heard UTI graduates not getting good jobs or job searchers found not so great workers from there and so on. It depends on those that really want to learn and those that think they can talk it but cant walk it.

I quit the tech school i was going to bc the one teacher spent 4 days of a 6 week course on how to properly twist a wire b4 soldering... also had powerpoints to show us... and was always late to class...and monotone 90% of the time, then i fell asleep and got smacked in the back of the head w/ a ruler to wake up enough to bleed.

some schools are good but the teachers are bad. see what former students say and how their school helped get employment after grad, or if they have a program to help at all.

LOL did you sue? Man thats harsh. Our class went through quick lol. I take it you were in basic electrical? We played with circuit boards most of the time and some on car diagnostics lol...4 days to solder wire lol we did that in one day haha since it was a 4 hour class basically he was like solder this this this and basically he graded you on it lol.

i agree when i went my manual trans teacher hardly talked about transmissions. he talked about lifting trucks no wonder i failed.

8000 for 15 hours a semester. Sucks being out of state and its not worth changing my license to il since this is my last year.

Well hell, im still probably gonna go, considering its only a year and a half. Also, their hiring rate for graduates is 94.7%

I don't think i would ever got to UTI.... they have a commercial and a paid programming where vtec is spelt vtech.
