    Just switched to e85!

Just switched to e85 on the H22 CB7!!!

    No CEL

    No hesitation

    No Problems....

Wont be able to leave the car sitting for long though

but the car is peppier.......seems quieter.

    torque is definitely more prominent.

e85 smells pretty delicious by the way.

    3.19 a gallon.....not too shabby either!

Too bad it burns faster for a failure of less MPG. In my experience.

sure, but I have higher octane and super cooling effects of alcohols evaporative nature that will allow me to run higher boost and advance timing when I typically wouldn't.

on my car I will probably need about %15 more more fuel in comparison to gasoline because of my high(er) C/R

this was really just a test to see how the car would react to a completely different fuel.

I'll resort back to gasoline when I run through this tank as I haven't taken all the appropriate measures to run alcohol.

I thought the e85 could cause corrossion to the lines eventually or somethin like that...

the extra comsumption kinda holds me back from trying it as well

I made the mistake of half filling up my tank on low octane when I first got the car. It ran like a domestic.. haha

Oh and it stalled a lot. I promptly put octane booster in.

That's all I got to say.

that's why there is gasoline in the fuel. for lubrication and easier cold starts.

people on the 3si forums have been running e85 for the past two years on stock lines with absolutely NO problems.

I ran it for a while in my Colorado with just tuning changes, ran pretty good and the power was nice. But since gas is hella expensive and E85 is only 30 cents cheaper where I live, it no longer makes any sense to use it.
