    Spoon Me

alright. I didn't want to whore it up and make a thread about this else where.

I know there is a thread somewhere that compares KMS valves and ferrara valves. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I've been searching all morning. Thanks a lot guys.

well I went drag racing the other night and was totally not impressed by my time in the quarter mile. I have had a spare head sitting in my garage for quite sometime that I just decided to rebuild.

I just wanted a better understanding of which valves to use under which circumstances and who overall makes the better set.

I'm planning to have this head port and polished and run a bisi stage 2 cam regrind. something pretty aggressive but able to drive daily. I want the best, valves, springs and retainers to get the most out of the head build.

Valves wise, Stock valves would be fine for you. I would use stainless steel beacuse of the higher temps of a turbo and ligher weight.

            As for valvetrain,

KMS if you are strictly on a budget, There springs are generic. Meaning that they can fit in civics or accords. If you use their springs you have to use their retainers only. Furthermore you will also have to make your own spring seat.

Ferrea system is pricey as it goes, You wont be able to use the stainless valves because they dont make them for the F22A, they make them for the f22b1 and b2.

But the springs and retainers are great quality.

Bisi should have some good valve train parts but I have not seen his stuff as yet.

oh man, thanks a lot bro

I'm in college so I really am on a strict budget. I do know power is money, but it doesn't hurt to go the cheaper way sometimes.

any idea where the thread went?
