    i am done with cb7

well my door stoped working. i can't open it from outside or inside.
took the door cover off and while i was doing it i fucked up one of my audiobahn speaks($130 retail.) that really sucked. because i bought a amp to power them and now i don't have a speaker.

tryed to fix the door and i couldn't do it. i got so pissed man. i started kicking it and do all kind of shits to the door.

i am done with this car. i fixed the back panels from an accidet that i had a while ago.
then my exaust valve broke<>>>> twice. so the tie rod was fucked.
swaped another engine in it. <<< ok good new it was a good one

then my tranny gets fucked. so i swaped another one(did all the work in my basement with my father)

then i fixed the reverse gauge faces on my car. but in the end i ended up cutting too much on the gas one.

    fixed altenator.

then the other day i fixed the throte cable that goes to the tranny. i was so happy. my tranny was shifting so smooth. the same night my door broke off.

fuck it. i won't fix this car anyomre. no more noooooo more.

the only good things bout this are
    1. found a great website with great people.
    2. learned so much about f22 engines and tranny.
    3. learned so much about electronics and audio.
    4. meet a couple of cool people on the jersey meet(thanks deever for that meeting)

but that is it for my car. no more trying to fix it.

ps.... if u guys around my neck of the woods and need help,,, let me know. i have a lot of knoledge about cb7. lol(i didn't mention so many other problems that i had with this car.)

dude i let the same things happen to my with my car, u cant let it get to u. let the car sit for a day or so, and then get back to it, ive replace 2 drivers side fenders while working on my car, it happens. ive swapped a motor, then had to take it back out to resurface the flywheel. the motor burns oil like no other, but i deal with it untile i get the new motor. its just the way life is man, i got fucked when i bought the car, the lines arent straight and im jsut now getting the rust fixed. people feel my car is poorly put together fuck them. what im trying to say is deal with it man, and keep ur car, u know deep down inside u really love it.

Klevis! Just buy another CB7... one that's in better shape! I mean, yours was a total project!

          I say you:
          1) buy a $500 beater that will let you do your job
          2) save up $2500 minimum
          3) buy a GOOD CB7 with that money (preferably a 92-93 EX, 5 speed)

Then you'll have something good to work on. Your car just needed so much done to it... I paid $3400 for my car 3 and a half years ago. I haven't had a major problem yet.

You can't be done with the model, just the particular car!

another car its not an option. but i am done with my car.

it took the mechanic 3 hours just to brake the door lanch off. now i need another door. $125. hopefully its white so i don't have to pay money to paint it.

but fuck this car. i am done with it.

You really dont need to do all of that maybe you were just rushing the situation or maybe had some bad luck doin things. Remember people break things once in a while and sometimes shit falls apart when fixing a car noones guaranteed parts when fixind cars and such. The thing is to keep attempting it until you get it right. You also gotta remember cars dont always stay the same shit is gonna go .

Try me for instance I brought an alternator 2months ago after it went then it broke off the teeth to it 3 times properly installed. Then a month later my external coil walked its way out. The 92 is old yes but not to take it liying down is the big part. you have to get back at it thats all. You have to take things slow and measure until you get it right at first try not to overdue it like the guages for instance i would have trimmed off a little then fit it after seeing theres still to much take it back off and trim it a little more. As for the door you just have to take it slow shit takes time . If a part cant be fixed go to the junkyard if its not that serious and swap it out.

Nah, Klevis's car is seriously screwed up. He has done a great job in fixing it so far, but it needs a LOT of work! It makes Maple's car look perfect

I was looking forward to seeing that beast brought back from the dead, but I've seen cars needing less attention in the junkyard. If you can get another one in better condition, you'll be much happier!

                          Imagine this:

He got slammed in the side... Body shop said what, $4000? $6000? Klevis fixed it himself for about $200. He went to a junkyard, got a door, cut the piece out that goes where the back of the door is (and behind the side of the rear seat) and welded it in. It's not perfect, but when he explained it, it was amazing how well he was able to repair it himself!

Very true. Sometimes you have to cut your losses though... For a primary car, that was WAY too much of a project. He learned a good deal, and took care of a car that wasn't all that great. Now it's time to move onto something worthy of his attention
