Hey people. I've been really busy with work and working on my 93 EX after work. Here's a list of what has been/is getting done to this thing and a few pictures.
Clutchmaster stage 1 organic clutch, pressure plate and release bearing
Timing belt & balance belt
Water pump
Balance shaft seal
Oil drive gear seal
Cam seal
Front main seal
Thermostat
Oil pan and gasket
Plugs, wires, cap, rotor
Filters
replaced all brake lines
master cylinder
propertioning valve
new front crossmember
functional hood scoop
shaving side molding
shaving roof rain gutters
shaving washer nozzles
shaving gas tank panel
shaving pwr. antenna
shaving rear wing bolt holes
shaving emblems
custom bumpers
battery relocation
remove cruise control
remove A/C components
clean and paint all engine bay parts and engine bay
clean and paint hood
and of course a new valve cover gasket
removing any unnecessary parts (dropped about 150 lbs. in crap so far)
+ anything else I feel needs to be done.
I also plan on flushing and filling ALL fluids and doing a general inspection of all aspect of the car. It's getting a full tune up, timing set, valve adjustment, compression test, leakdown test and a good cleaning. It's been sitting for a little while (clutch died), so I want to make sure it's safe and will be reliable transportation for the next few years. I pulled everything out from under the hood including all lines/hoses/wires etc. and painted it along with cleaning and painting each piece before it went back in. I also removed everything from underneath including brake lines/fuel lines/ exhaust/heat shields/gas tank/ etc. so that I could swap out to new brake lines and flush the full brake and fuel systems. I'm basically replacing every seal and gasket on the motor, tuning it properly and doing a full car inspection and replacing/cleaning/painting every part as I go. It's a lot of work but it's starting to come together now. Motor will be installed and running by Sun. the 10th and the car should be driveable sometime durring the following week. Let me know what you think.
