Anybody with a stock or slightly, outward modded CB ever think or hope that they'd get more respect if your car looked better??

Like my car....(please see MRT lol) It has a few dents, and some rust and fading paint.

Today, after work, i was washing it cuz we've had some really decent weather lately, and plus she was dirty. One of the techs pulled a car in to rinse off the engine, and as he was leaving he asked me, "Is that your car?" "....yeah" "You'd drive a Honda Accord too, wouldnt you?"



I know the guy, so if it was a dig at me, he was only joking, but i feel that if my car looked like Aww_Shiet, or StickyDilJoe or the like, he wouldnt have said anything.

I just feel like i get alot of crap simply due to the stock, outward appearance of my car. Anyone else get this?

Also, and this might just be my own attention to minor details, but no one seems to notice my amber corners or red/clear tails.

I know its my own fault or up to me to make it look better, but it just kinda burns me out that ppl gotta hate.

mines just a beater, a lot of people disrespect hondas at my school which is actually quite annoying because whenever someone works on one, i always hear, "it's just a honda."

theyjust dont understand build quality and engineering. you could have a jaguar that looks cool but when it comes time to work on the motor, you have to disassemble the entire front clip because they build the car around the motor. people just dont understand man.,

ok personally I think you car looks good, so far. But the thing you have to keep in mind 99 % of the world has no idea what the difference is between amber corners on a cb7 versus the stock ones. and in my opinion unless you do have a heavilly modded car like type g or aww sheit people really aren't gonna recognize the little things. Its safe to say I have done more to mine car then you have and it is only now that people are noticing, and only because they are Honda guys. Keep your head up!besides its not what others think about your car,its how you feel riding in it! If it makes you feel better to rock red clears then keep on keepin' on! But take that and put that energy you use to worry about stuff like this and put it tword you car, or as other people said "do work!"

I'd like to point out that they don't notice it because those modifications just look stock. I love how they look, but to a regular person, they just look like regular lights. If you want people to not think you're stock, get those halo headlights, body kit, and a huge drop with 18 rims. Then they'll all know you're not stock lol. But anyways, its all what you do with it. I told my friends that I had mugen sides and rear, and they didn't even know I put them on...That kinda annoyed me because I thought that would have been a huge difference, but I guess not...sorry I am rambling lol
