You can always try walmart... even as a temp job untill something better comes around. Especially since christmas help is just around the corner.

no offence to this... but... pay more attention in school. You WILL NOT get a good job later in life if your spelling does not improve. Seriously, you have to fix this. I know people have problems and things but you have to figure it out. You will suffer in the long run.

apply as a front desk operator at any hotel; also try applying for a night auditor job, hotels always need night auditors.

best student job ever; you get to meet a lot of people, sharpen your communication and interpersonal skills, and hang out with nice looking gals.

If you want fun and interesting stuff to work with... movie theater, Best Buy, autoparts stores... or any job in a shopping mall.

If you want money now (and very little useful work experience, as far as resumes go)... waiter. I bought a house and paid the mortgage on time every month, without fail... while playing with my CB7 and going to school full time... as a waiter for Bennigan's (RIP) and Outback Steakhouse. Useful life experience. Useless professional experience. But the money is quite good. At 17, you probably won't be able to work in many places... but I know around here, places like Denny's, Friendly's, and IHOP will hire minors.
