That's the best way to find a good book! It's always better when you don't expect it, and you don't know anything about it. When it's popular, you always have someone else's opinion shoved down your throat first.

I read Harry Potter that way. My mom heard that it was popular, back when the first book came out, and bought it for me. I thought it was going to be a stupid kid's book, but I liked it a lot... and they only got better I actually waited in line at midnight for the 4th one!
