Back in the day I had a caddy w/ about 3000 watts running through it. About 10yrs ago. I went to a place that builds alternators because I fried 11 of them. They built me a 140amp alternator for $400. Now days its probly easier to find one. 140 amps is alot. Dont relly need 170 but it looks like a good deal. Check the Warrenty and do so research on the brand. Stock is about 80-90amps. If your pushing alot of power and extras you could wear it out and fry it. Does your lights dim at night ?

You could always take your exsisting alternator and have it rebuilt for more output. I had it done for an integra i had, only cost me 70 bucks.
