Free anti-virus programs?

I just noticed my Mcafee anti-virus protection has expired and now I got the windows security window telling me I have a firewall but no virus protection. Im flat broke now and was wondering if you guys know of any good FREE anti-virus programs I can download. Thanks

google toolbar works well

spy bot is free, though not a pop up blocker it's a very good spyware program.

i think the 2nd or 3rd link i postd has a free firewall.

Ive never once had a problem with Norton in the past 6 years I've been using it. Never had a Virus on my computer, havent formatted in that long either.

Norton does provide good protection but theyve had a lot of software problems in the past especially involvig the automatic update. I had norton and after it updated one time it stoped working and would freeze my computer. I tried to unistall it but it wouldnt let me. Come to found out that some programmer at symantec put a number in the wrong place in a dll file. That is why i dont use norton.
