Driver for graphics card? I don't really know anything about building computers. So this may be way off.

was just gonna say that! ur PSU is prob not strong enuff... also you might need to connect the 4 pin plug from the PSU to the MB.. wat type of board? Intel/AMD?? but as of now it sounds like ur PSU....

Something else you might wanna double check is that ur memory and video card is securely connected and clicked in...Ive had some probs b4 with the memory not being pushed in all the way.. and i wouldn't get any display. Check those things out then take it from there.

Perhaps the video card is either shot, or taken a shit? maybe the screen can't handle the display settings of the video card? which I would think for default would be 640 by 480. But, I could be wrong? Bad video cord? check for any bent/broken pins in the cable. Bad monitor?

            Need more information:

            PSU output and age
Motherboard orientation (AMD/Intel) and chipset (P35, NVidia 7000, etc)
            Processor Type
            Memory Manufacturer and amount
Video Card maker and type (i.e. ATI HD 4850)
Anything in any other PCI or PCIe slot?

Throw this up and it should be easy to solve the problem. The last time I ran into a problem like this I had paired a new-ish celeron processor (socket 478) to a motherboard that wasn't compatible (socket m478, apparently not the same thing). Same thing would happen, everything turned on, no codes being beeped, fans would spin up and the computer for all purposes was on but it wouldn't do anything past POST, nor would the screen display any of the bootup text.

Make sure you plugged in the 4 pin power connector by the CPU. I have seen so many builds not POST due to this it's not even funny.
If that doesn't work, remove all but 1 piece of ram, and make sure it is securely installed, and try booting.

remove everything but what you need to just barely boot.

                MOBO - CPU - RAM

disconnect everything in the PCI slots, disconnect the hard drives, use the integrated video if you can

with the psu connected, try to boot

reseat the cpu, reseat the RAM. this has happened to me quite a few times, once or twice it was a bad cpu. if you can try another cpu that is compatible with your board

the board should start even with no ram, it will just shout a solid long beep

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

^^^ THIS!! I spent a day troubleshooting on why my pc was booting after I installed a new mobo. I forgot to plug in that 4-pin.
