    Ever get discouraged....

have you ever gotten totally discouraged by your car? in the past 2 weeks a couple things have happened to my accord.

On sunday the 8th my car decided to snap its timing belt. Luckily it did it at idle and everything was fine. but it set me back about $280 bux to get it fixed.

My downpipe has a hole in it right before the flex pipe portion and it makes the horrible exhaust leak noise. Well ive got a new header and ive been trying to get it on since tuesday. I finally got fed up with it today and put everything back together and am taking it back to my buddy who fixed my timing belt for me. But during the whole process of putting it back together i was swearing that i was just gonna get the suspension parts and this header on my car and be done. I was saying that i was gonna sell my skunk2 intake mani set up, my spare head and all the extra performance stuff i had laying around and save up for an s2k. But after getting it all back together and cooling off my mind is back on my beloved accord.

Has anyone else ever gotten this way? it sux when you hit snags with a car and it makes you wanna get rid of it, but i dont think i could ever actually let my car go unless i totalled it.

Ive been there with all my cars including the one i have now. But once i got good quality parts worked it out in the end its more worth it.

Its just time consuming thats all no biggie cause once its done right and you dont have any issues you forget about that and you just wanna drive.

Im going to be cussing my sedan this weekend. Its clutch replacement time and its going to SUCK! I started cussing when the intake was coming off! I cant forget about the brake job coming up! Even more profanity will be heard amongst the cul de sac. I even had a parent complain to me about my cussing and I told her to fuck off haha. I cant remember but I think that day I was doing a timing belt.......so yes I get extremley discouraged with my girls but hey....at least I got something simple to fix....89 Sentra

In the almost 4 years ive had it, ive dropped right around $8000 in upkeep. I swear ive replaced every part of that engine. Twice.

Im about to drop another 4- or 500 for a nice list of things, and ill still have a few issues that need to be addressed. I hate fixing it, but when its better and runs i feel better.

You just gotta keep ya head up and try to find that thing about it that makes you love it.

yeah...condensation in my RIGHT side headlight but not the left! and I made the Left side the same exact way as the right. I hate it when it rains....I've already taken it apart more times that I can count and that gets annoying because I have to remove the front bumper to get to the HL.

I think almost everyone who has a paid off used vehicle runs into this. Always weigh out the fact that the paid off vehicle will most times cost you less in the long run than a vehicle you are paying off and can breakdown on you. Just my honest opinion!

haha yeah same here. back in november my countershaft seal popped out. so a timing belt job is underway. took me two months. and i belive one of my balance shaft is positioned wrong tho. man like evrey bolt on that side of the engine was stripped or snapped. cost me 350 bucks on that and i did everything myself. now i have a horrible powersteering leak and my front left brake totor is warped. to top that off i THINK one of my cv joints is bad but still can't tell..... lol.

i still love her thoo.... she is a high maitence gold digger, but i still love her....
