umm wtf was spossed to happen in 2000 other than computers? 2012 is a different assumption. imo the most likely thing to happen would be extra large solar flare. i don't see why that would be so hard to believe. the 2012 was when the myan calendar ended is the big reason for this, and they were very in touch with the calendar and time almost to the accuracy we have today.
