ok wtf did i do/is wrong with my comp?!?

my speakers are popping it doesnt matter how loud they are and it does it on headphones too.

i have the original driver cd for the motherboard. its kind of funny because one time a friend of mine bought it from a place with a five finger discount and it was brand new at the time it still had the driver cd in the tray.

uhh and my fuckin internet is jerking all over the place really slow, the computer runs fine, but any browser is slows as shit. not the loading but the scrolling. i think its somekind of update problem but i have service pack 3. i hope this is a stable windows torrent.

piece of shit im thinking of selling it for 100 bucks and getting an old school athlon MP dual core mobo and install 2 barton 2800 cpu's and overclock the hell out of it and water cool it. it has a decent level 2 cache size. well not compared to an i7...

ohh and did you guys here about the octocore hahah i dont think thats the name but the eight freaking core motherboard that just came out. i forgot who made it, but its freaking rediculous. i think like you can have 16 gigs of ram on it.

Why the hell would you build a "new system" with Athlon XP 2800+s?

You realize you can build a system that is a hell of a lot faster for like...$300. Have you looked at the price of an XP 2800+ lately? They are like...$92 bucks a piece. You can get an Athlon 64 X2 5200+ with a heatsink and fan for $55 from Newegg.

i built a badass gaming system, it benchmarks VERY well. and guess what? it's a single core!!

          heres my gaming/hdmovie rigs

this is long, and im bored and it doesnt include my laptops... 1.2 P-M, 1.7 P4-M, and T2060 1.6ghz x2

by the way these are all for sale (except dual cores) cheap!

          My server:
          Intel dual core XEON (socket?)

          17 inch flatscreen

My gaming Rig: I use this computer for games that rely on fast GPU speed
Nforce4 epox mobo (the most overclockable mobo, onboard led diagnostic)
          Athlon 64 4000+ OC'd from 2.4ghz to 3 ghz (stable; mobo supports x2)

That system is your "badass" system? Wow. That thing is ancient technology. How about you post up some 3dmark06 benchmarks? Then we'll see how "bad ass" your system is.

Oh, and for the record, DDR PC3500 is NOT the best ram you can buy, and your 8600GT does not have "dual core processor" on the video card...

How about a real system, like mine? And guess what, even this is fairly outdated according to current standards.

              Core 2 Duo E6600 OC'd to 3.20ghz, from 2.4ghz

              XFX 9800GTX+ 512MB
Antec TruePower II 550W (LOVE THIS. I've had it for 3+ years, ROCK SOLID PSU)
              Western Digital 160GB VelociRaptor (10,000RPM)
              Western Digital 500GB (7,200RPM)

                yeah... the i7.

you probably have a virus/spyware. The torrented OSs are usually full of holes. You get what you pay for, or in this case, dont.

hah, man you know nothing about torrents

there are only 4 good places for torrents 2 i cant get in (invite)

the only 2 that are safe reliable and trusted are demonoidand thepiratebay If the uploader has a skull, its legit

Im running Windows vista completely legit updating all the time and NO problems. it was a torrent file, Im also running xp64 bit and 32 bit, windows 7

and last but not least: Windows XP Performance Edition, this badass version, can be installed on ANY computer, im talking my pentium MMX processor 133mhz (i think its 160 in turbo lol) anyways. This torrent is so incredible that I had a 1.7ghz P4-M craptop and it was sluggish as hell on XP. I installed Performance Edition (V2) and holy shit! the thing just FLY'S

And ohh foamypirate you do have a nice system btw... but as of RIGHT now, The best Gaming computer is still a single core! yes a single core. because Games need a truly fast processor. it doesnt matter if its breaking it down into two parts, if one process is very HUGE then it will max out one of the cpu's on a 2.4 ghz core 2 duo... not enough speed.

its been proven that single cores are better for gaming (it wont be that way in the future, hell a slow dual core will pwn a single core in 5 years when the software catches up. Until windows 7, i haven't seen the need for SMP's.

DDR1 it maxes out at 500mhz... i forgot my other corsair stick is a 500MHZ pc4000, but that is a rare chip. expensive, each one of my sticks is worth 35 bucks for just a 512MB.

Your processor speed is the same as mine, except you have 2 of them, in a few tasks, im sure my system could match yours....

And the 8800gt has a dual core processor on it... From what I was told when i bought it. Maybe im wrong, but im pretty sure it had two cores, or somekind of SMP technology on it. im fairly certain.

I didn't list the detailed specs of my systems, but 3 of them have more than 8 usb ports, all have sata, and i have a 25 dollar fan that is so loud you think a jet engine has started.

my p4 computers all have 775 sockets (i can easily step one up to a dual core for cheap)

Like i said, I have 2 Newish Gaming rigs and 4 dual core computers, one being a 3.0ghz dual core, granted not a super level 2 mega cache processor, but a dual core and its based on the "netburst architecure" Remember the jap guy who pulled 7.4 GHZ out of a Pentium 4 HT? and between the 2 gaming systems I find buying an incredibly expensive system isn't needed anymore, as I can play ANY game without problem.

The reason I build 2 mid-end gaming computers is because they costs me for the total of BOTH computers.... 347 Bucks, plus 20$ SATA DVDR and 50 bux on the 250 and 80 GB. the total cost of my three desktop dual cores is roughly 600$ and I have had these for about a year.

I think that is a pretty good price for 3 fucking computers....

When I find a game that I can't max out, then I will either buy a dual core for my 775 socket P4 rig... or spend 50 bux on a dual core athlon x2 3ghz because everymobo i have supports dual core... (except the old shit)

I don't know, foamypirate you do have a great system, well pieced together, I as well have the antec, and a thermaltake which i opened and it never worked and i dont have the reciept (think compusa will take it back, it never fucking worked!)

I don't know, I like using the least amount money to build the best system I can with it.

I think i like building them more then having them... eventually i want an i7 lol

right now im looking at either

                  1. An athlon mp MOBO with 2 Athlon XP barton 2800's OC'd to hell
                  2. A Dual core Pentium III-s Tualitin 1.4ghz OC'd to 1.9 GHZ

                  3. Get a VIA Cyrix at 1.5ghz use, itx mobo and build myself a laptop using an old compaq case or something of the sort... i know its doable, they have fold away keyboards for PDA's and shit, and the board is so small, it can fit into a 10 year old laptop great. I'd probably replace the screen with a USB one or something, and for the battery, easy, an old VHS camera 12 volt battery. My friend powered his haha "lapcase" briefcase computer with one and it worked great. haha the breifcase computer that was fun sitting in my room in highschool soldering away burning wholes in my carpet, the room would fill with burnt plastic smoke and my mom would hate it and close the door and go away, if she only knew how well burning plastic covered the smell of weed.

Oh and i can't forget the glass table computer, 8th grade science fair (once again my friend) he put a crt monitor flat under a glass table and hooked it into a small computer all that was on the table was a keyboard and mouse, the whole computer was under a clear table. didnt really have any purpose. it would kind of be annoying looking at a damn table.

as you can see once i build things they become boring too me. right now i really want to go mess around with my celeron computer and max it out... I bet with 256MB RAM, a 64mb geforce 4 video card, and a 10GB HDD the 733 MHZ P3 would run Half Life 1 At med/high settings. That is just so much fun.
