Who is working retail on black friday?

If you work in retail, you definately know about black friday. The worst day evAr. Personally I have to work from 5 a.m. - 11 p.m. Unfortunately I work at Circuit City, and it's going to be fucking mad in there. Anyone else going to be dealing with this?

My wife works at a Walmart Supercenter overnight (open 24 every f'n day of the year) and she is scared what's going to happen when the sales start at 6AM. Last year there was a line for layaway halfway thru the store, and I've heard of fistfights occuring when people get too aggressive grabbing for items.

All I know is I'm going to be there looking for a cheap DVD player.

friday after thanksgiving.... biggest shopping day of the year.

when businesses advertise "huge sales" that for the most part are like 1 dollar off the regular price.

I've been working there for over 3 months man Yea, they really don't have any good deals. I got to peep them all. It's not worth getting up that early, shopping online is definately a better idea.

I work at wally's world and this will be my third "black friday" there. We call it blitz day. It's mad busy, but if you psych yourself enough before hand, you'll get through it hopefully without stabbing someone in the neck. No j/k.

when businesses advertise "huge sales" that for the most part are like 1 dollar off the regular price.
Unfortunately thats not too far from the truth, we will have good priced stuff at wally's world, but please it's not worth killing another human being.

and I've heard of fistfights occuring when people get too aggressive grabbing for items.
This is very true, and seems like every year people get worse. I expect it to happen this year, I won't be surprised when it eventually does happen. And then unfortunately happens again. And again. And again.

All I know is I'm going to be there looking for a cheap DVD player.
Please wait a day or so for your lives sake. Last year at a wally's world here in florida, a shopper who was waiting at 6am for the doors to open was pushed down by crazy shoppers, and was stomped nearly to death by the mob behind her. They didn't even stop once they realized she was on the ground. ...Or did she die? I can't recall. And it was all because we had a cheap $30 dvd player (like apex, or symphonic, or cyberhome, can't remember brand.) You can buy a dvd player for $38.96 today, they weren't getting that great of a deal, and had no care if they killed another human being. Sick bastards.
This year we have to have police to control these sheep from commiting murder. Bleck, happy holidays my ass.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

no way dude, the indians picket'd that day to signify how generous the white man has been to their peoples since whitey arrived off boats n slaughtered them savage savages to help save the poor peacedful indians. then they'd both shook hands, shot a turkey, and shared it. bada boom! thanksgiving day!
