    Expired registration question

I live in maryland to start things off. Anyways i got tempoary tags on august 4th for my car and they are valid for a month. Well yesterday they expired. According to the registration car they are expired but the lisence plate it self says they expire " September 2009 " which normally means they expire this month but not a specific date. What would happen if i got pulled over?

If it says September on it then you have until the end of the month to get a new one. They could pull you over whenever they want though to "remind" you. At least that's all they do around here.

If you get pulled over and you have documents (or they have you on record) showing that the plates expired, you'll have problems, I'm sure.

However, if the plates only say September, you probably won't be hassled for them. Just don't get pulled over for anything else, or give the cops any reason to run the numbers!

Why don't you just register it properly?

You're not JDM until you have a car built in ohio with tons of bolt ons from ebay.

Typically not registered = not insured..

In most states they can tow the car since it should not be on the road

Stop being a scum bag and get it fixed.... Holiday weekend is no excuse

In maryland to get a car a full registration you need to pass a maryland state inspection. My car isnt quite ready yet, it needs a suspension restoration kit ( Most of the rubber boots are dry rotted ) Im just wondering because i still need to drive the car to places to buy parts and to my brothers work to install them. The car is registerd and has insurence on it, its just its " Out of date "

Edit: When i got the car you can buy a 1 month temporary registration and thats whats expired.

in NH you have either 10 day temporary plates, 20 day temp plates (only when buying a car from a dealer) or 60 day (moving from out of state only)

don't know how your state works. if its not registered don't drive it. you'll get fucked.
