metal is so down right now, i think aluminum is only about .25 per pound as opposed to 1.00/lb at the beginning of this yr.

Some cats have platinum in them that makes them worth from 60 to 90 bucks at your local junkyard/recyclers. Used to be worth even more than that till people started stealing them like crazy. Only some cats have platinum in them though, mostly oem ones. All the aftermarket cats are worth like 3 bucks at the junkyard.
