It's different from the death head that the SS used. the brand name metal mulisha uses it and i obviously dont want to sport something and get my ass beat for something i dont even rep.

I would assume it's just a stylized logo influenced by the Nazi imagery... because evil is cool. Lots of bands use that sort of imagery as well. Slayer, for example, is one... though I sometimes wonder how much they may actually identify with the mentality as well (I've never liked Slayer...)
And Metal Mulisha, really? Way to rip off of Metallica...

I'm pretty sure it's not racist in any way. The helmet is symobolic of old school bikers, frequently using german military helmets as a substitute for a motorcycle helmet. You know, has the spike on top? The M/M as previously mentioned is for the clothing line, and probably also named for the motocross riders that have affiliated with one another.
